Robert E. Hendricks Memorial Fund
Bob spent his entire business career in the field of finance. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin in 1966 with an MBA, Bob joined the Continental Bank in Chicago. He eventually became a member of the Bank’s Stock Selection Committee responsible for investing over $3 billion in common stocks. In 1985, Bob co-founded HOLT Value Associates, a financial consulting firm advising money managers around the globe. In 2002, HOLT was sold to Credit Suisse, one of the largest investment banking firms in the world. Bob officially retired from Credit Suisse in 2009 and immediately formed a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) company called Go STEADY® which provides innovative products (canes and crutches) for the physically challenged. Bob believes saving the life of one person makes the YH4L Cardiac Screening Program worthwhile. Receiving a favorable EKG reading also provides “Peace of Mind” for the healthy participants.
From Dr. Marek:
“It is with profound sadness that I report the death of our YH4L Board member Robert Hendricks. He passed away suddenly this weekend. I deeply admired and respected Bob. Our relationship began first as a physician- patient, then as a friend and ultimately as a devoted supporter of YH4L. Bob used his contagious enthusiasm and business acumen to help us pursue the YH4L mission. He not only donated his time as a board member but also committed time to train YH4L staff in business principles and to lecture YH4L Jr Board members in their role and responsibility as board members. He will be missed.”
